How to create a YouTube account step by step

If you want to create a YouTube account to start uploading videos to your channel, we explain step by step what you have to do.

To open an account on YouTube you have to follow these instructions:

1. Visit www.youtube.com
2. On the top right hand side you will see 'Login'.
3. Once there, at the bottom you will see the option 'Create account', select it to create a new account.
4. Enter your personal details: name, surname, email address and password.
5. Click on 'Next' to move on.
6. YouTube will now send you an identity verification email with a multi-digit code that you must enter in the current tab. Click on 'Verify' once you have entered it.
7. Once you have verified your account, you will need to fill in more fields (a step you can skip and complete at a later time).
8. You then agree to Google's terms and conditions.
